Bolton League Events Bolton Easter Congress 2010 Incorporating an afternoon Busy Persons Rapidplay on Saturday 3rd April. 28th Bolton Rapidplay As usual this years event takes place at the Excel Centre Bolton, on Sunday November 15th. Full details are in the downloadable entry form. 8/8/09 AGM I would hereby like to inform you that the Bolton & District Chess League AGM will be held on Monday August 24th, 7:30 pm; at Bolton Ukrainian Centre, 99 Castle St, Bolton. 7/8/09 SALFORD The good news is that Salford will be back in the Bolton League next season. The same format as last year has not been confirmed yet but will likely be discussed at the AGM. 16/4/09 BOLTON CHESS TEAM JAMBOREE 2009 Date Sunday 31 May 2009.

22/1/09 CUP RESULT This years Bolton League Cup Final was played at the Ukranian Club on January 22nd. The home team Great Lever put up a good fight, but could not stop Bolton A winning the trophy yet again, by a 4-2 scoreline.

Hi Chaps,I am hoping to call the Bolton Chess League AGM for Thursday 4th September, and would like to know if this suits all of you? The meeting will be held at the Ukranian Centre, 99 Castle Street, Bolton, at 7-30 pm.

SUMMER LEAGUE
There will be no Summer League this year. It would seem there is not much interest in such a competition at the moment. However, around March next year, the idea of a summer league will be re-kindled to see the reaction of clubs to this.
15/5/08 REYNER SHIELD 2008
This years Reyner Shield is between Bolton 1 and 3Cs 1 and will take place at the YMCA Bolton on Monday evening 7-15, 19th May. A commentary will take place by Julian Clissold, I understand, and spectators are welcome to come along with their children to see whats going on. This is a good effort to raise the profile of the event and should pass a couple of hours pleasantly.
